Oman
Oman, located in the Middle East, is officially known as the Sultanate of Oman. A great quantity of livestock can be found in the southwest including camels and cattle. Fishing is also an important industry of Oman. Crops grown in the country include dates, limes, nuts, bananas, alfalfa, and vegetables. However, due to low cultivation, food needs to be imported. Mineral resources of the country are chromite, dolomite, zinc, limestone, gypsum, silicon, copper, gold, cobalt and iron. Main industries include: crude oil production and refining, cement, copper, steel, natural and liquefied natural gas (LNG) production, construction, chemicals and optic fiber. |
